Élise Vareilles

IMT Mines Albi | Configuration, Decision Support Systems, Constraint Programming, Knowledge Management

Dr Elise Vareilles has been an Associate Professor at IMT Mines Albi, France, since 2005. She received her PhD in 2005 and won the prize for the best PhD thesis of INP Toulouse in the same year. She received her accreditation to supervise research (HdR) in the field of Industrial Engineering in 2015. She works on the development of an interactive aiding configuration/design/decision tools based on knowledge and is part of the development and the improvement of the CoFiADe software. Since January 2016, she has been the leader of the ORKID (Organization, Risk, Knowledge in Design) research team, in the Industrial Engineering Center of IMT Mines Albi.

Laurent Alleman

IMT Nord Europe | #atmosphere #particles #metals #health

Laurent Alleman has been an associate professor since 2004 at IMT Nord Europe (former École des Mines de Douai and IMT Lille Douai) in the Atmospheric Sciences and Environmental Engineering department. He holds a PhD in Environmental Geosciences (1997) from the Aix-Marseille University. Its main research projects are centered on tracing particulate atmospheric pollution sources, particularly metals and studying their potential health impact. He is also involved in various institutional organisms concerning research, regulation and standardization such as the Laboratoire central de surveillance de la qualité de l’air (LCSQA), AFNOR, the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES) an the European committee for standardization (CEN).

Guillaume Duc

Télécom Paris | #connectedcar #cybersecurity

Guillaume Duc has been an associate professor since 2009 at Télécom Paris in the laboratory for communication and processing of information (LTCI). He holds an engineering degree in telecommunications (2004) and a PhD in computer science (2007) from Télécom Bretagne (now IMT Atlantique). His research topics focus on the interactions between the hardware components required to execute applications (processor, memory, devices…) and the (cyber)security, from vulnerabilities introduced by the hardware to new hardware mechanisms that can be developed to increase the security of systems. He is also in charge of the research chair “Connected Cars and CyberSecurity”.

Jacques Fages

IMT Mines Albi | Supercritical fluids, CO2, Process Engineering, Biotechnology

Jacques Fages has been a professor since 1996 at IMT Mines Albi in the RAPSODEE research centre (UMR CNRS 5302) where he served as the director from 2005 to 2008. He graduated from INSA Toulouse (1979) as a biochemical engineer and obtained his HDR (French academic degree to become a university professor) in 1993. He used to be a research engineer in various industrial companies for 14 years before joining IMT Mines Albi. Its research themes focus on processes using supercritical CO2 in a green engineering context. Several industrial processes in the fields of pharmacy or medicine stem directly from the work of his team. He chaired the ISASF, a learned society that organizes most of the world’s supercritical fluid congresses. He is the inventor of more than 15 patents and has authored more than one hundred scientific publications.
